In other words, this is American pancakes. They are also known as thick pancakes with baking powder. This is a classical breakfast of Europeans. If to add less sugar, it will be “hot-cakes” which are served with bacon and fried eggs.

And in America it is generally accepted to pour them with maple syrup and a cube of butter. In Europe they are offered with different jams or honey. But my permanently favourite variant is, of course, with Nutella pasta.

recipe:

  • 2 eggs
  • 25 grams of sugar
  • 25 grams of powdered sugar
  • 250 ml of milk
  • 250 grams of flour
  • 2 grams of vanillin (one bag)
  • 10-15 grams of baking powder

Everything is simple, as with pancakes. We mix all ingredients, the sequence isn’t essential. It is possible to mix it with a whisk. You can add any additional ingredient to the mixture, it can be a dye, candied fruits, condensed milk, nut, chocolate and the like. But I would advise to fry the pan-cakes and only then to add similar additions to the portion.

The mixture is quite sweet (though you can set it right) and that’s why it easily burns slightly. Fry it on slow fire, and if it is a quality frying pan, oil for greasing may be unnecessary. For confidence after putting pan-cakes on the pan, you can cover it with a lid. The main thing is to catch the necessary temperature and the moment when it is necessary to turn the pan-cakes…
