Perhaps it is the best that can be done with nuts. There are products which is much when they are better fresh. But this recipe supplements and improves taste of any nut. Besides it allows to keep it for longer term. It is soft caramel and it cooks very simply…

Recipe:

  • 120 grams of any nut
  • 100 grams of sugar
  • 30 ml of water

To do:

Beforehand oil a baking sheet (a tray for baking) with vegetable oil. Pour out nuts in a pan. Pour sugar and water in it too. Put it on a slow fire and stir slowly. Sugar has to dissolved, and excess moisture will boil away. There appear a white dry raid, this is a middle of the process. Further the mixture will start to caramelize.

Stir it, there has to be somewhat slightly burned smell. It is normal, stir caramel till it grap with nut completely and will get brown color. Pour out on a baking sheet and divide with forks. When it cool down, enjoy it.
